Kuari Pass Trek holds invincible significance as one of the most capable trekking routes of India. The wonderful views of snow peaks are best to describe this place. It is popularly known as Curzon's trail. This is a moderate trek which represents one of the most enthralling sights of Eastern Himalayas.

Kuari Pass in the state of Uttaranchal is known for its unusual trekking which continues for almost 11 days. It provides you a charming and beautiful view of the imposing peaks of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Dronagiri and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat. You can easily view the Himalayas from here which appears like a breathtaking view for the trekkers. You might feel like being in the arms of Himalaya and closer to nature than ever before. History of Kuari Pass
The trek of Kuari Pass was developed by Lord Curzon. This is the reason for calling this trek by the name of Curzon's trail. In 1905, Lord Curzon reached Kuari Pass from Ghat via Ramni.

Attractions at Kuari Pass
The main attraction of Kuari Pass is the majestic view of the twin peaks of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat. Gohna Tal, the beautiful lake is a special attraction which falls on this trekking route. There are many beautiful views like village views, wildlife, virgin forest and lush green fields, which would definitely enthrall the trekkers while trekking.

You can avail different accommodation facilities in Kuari Pass region, depending upon your personal wish. There are large numbers of hotels, guest houses and government rest houses in the region. These places are full of amenities, required by the people to enjoy a wonderful trekking journey.

Best Time to Trek
The trail can be followed from mid-may until late October, except during the time of residual snow on the upper section early in the season. Mid September to mid October is an ideal time to trek.

How to Reach Kuari Pass
To reach the Kuari Pass, you need to start your journey from Delhi to Rishikesh, Rishikesh to Nandprayag, and then from Nandprayag to Ramni. From Ramni, you need to visit Jhenjipani, form Jhenjipani to Sinyartoli, from Sinyartoli to Dhakwani and from Dhakwani to Tali. Finally, you will find yourself on the way to Kuari Pass.

Other Attractions near Kuari Pass

  • Auli: This region is covered with snow throughout the winter and is famous for the winter sports, especially for skiing. It is third famous spot for skiing in the country.
  • Tapovan: This is the best place for one to trek the high peaks and to witness the outstanding sun rise and sun set on Shivling and Bhagirathi groups of peaks.
