Morjim Beach Print E-mail

Morjim beach is considered to be one of the most unspoiled beaches in India. It is home to the now famous Olive Ridley sea turtles. Morjim beach is where they lay their eggs. There is now a turtle station here to oversee and protect these eggs and turtles. As a result, Morjim beach is quieter than the other beaches along this coast.

All that one can hear around here are the gentle crash of waves, the sweeping winds and sometimes, the harping of birds as they fly across the beach towards the water. For tourists and visitors who wish for serenity and tranquility, Morjim Beach is an ideal vacation spot.

The warm waters of the Arabian Sea and the relaxing atmosphere combined with excellent cuisine on the beach make for a calm and enjoyable stay at Morjim beach. Resorts and hotels around Morjim beach offer royal European style of living and recreational facilities to their guests. Apart from the basic beach swimming, one can also avail of the special herbal pools’ facility these resorts offer. It is said that these pools help soothe the body and mind and can be quite beneficial to one’s health.
