Churu is beautifully covered with golden sand dunes of Thar and fabulously built Havelis of lime and brick. Town of Churu is politically strong being an administrative district of Bikaner. It is renowned as Shekhawati’s Frescoland with living murals on the walls of Havelies.
Churu is located in the Jangladesh region of Northern Rajasthan. Town is surrounded by four important districts of Rajasthan with Haryana in the east. Hanumangarh District lies in the north, Jhunjhunun and Sikar districts in the southeast, Nagaur District in the south, and Bikaner District in the west.
