Marine Drive Print E-mail

Marine drive, a long drive on the 6 lane concrete road, is the most exciting trip one could ever have in Mumbai. Located along the natural bay on the Arabian Sea, this inverted ‘c’ shaped road also famous as “the queen’s necklace”, is yet another attraction in the busy city and is thronged by people on most days.

A weekend here is the most memorable one. The promenade, called Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose road is a photographer’s favorite. The lush green palm trees dancing like the hula dancers and the roadside fast-food add to its charm. The Marine Drive is brilliantly constructed, when viewed from the top, leaves the on-lookers totally absorbed and speechless.
